Point b recently assisted Click Architecture with the fabrication of their winning entry, “Movie Mobile”, in the Design Philadelphia [spot] competition. The collaborative process consisted of digital model refinement, surface curvature analysis, and the fabrication of the final installation using our CNC mill.

Surface Analysis (Rhinoscripting)
Point b developed a utility using rhinoscript that analyzes surface curvature by populating the desired milled surface with a digital model of the router. This allows the operator to avoid any crashes with the material (in this case, extruded polysytrene or ‘blue foam’) before they occur, as well as maximize the depth of the tool path.
